Now in beta

Clearer standby decisions.

The app that shows every reasonable way to get there, tells you how each flight has really been loading, and lets you ask the crew who flew it last week. Built for airline employees on standby — clear enough for your first non-rev trip.

Availability can change. Insights help compare options; they do not guarantee boarding.

A standby trip, step by step

Four questions, answered before you leave for the airport.

Where can I reasonably go? Which option looks strongest? What's the evidence? And what's my backup?

Search once. See everything reasonable.

Type a route and a date. We lay out the nonstops, the one-stops, and the option you'd rather not need — each with its own signal — and we include nearby airports so you don't miss a workable backup a short drive away.

How we count

We only count seats we've actually seen.

Zero means we confirmed the flight is sold out. Blank means we don't know — and we never blur the two. If any leg of an itinerary is unknown, we won't promise you the whole trip.

Availability can change. Insights help compare options; they do not guarantee boarding.

Freshness

Seat maps appear 72 hours out. We re-check up to four times a day.

Airlines only expose seat counts close to departure — about 72 hours on JetBlue, 48 on Frontier. Inside that window we check our busiest routes four times a day and the rest twice, so the signal you see is the latest one that exists.

Nearby airports

One search, three airports.

Airports in the same metro are interchangeable when you're non-rev. Search Fort Lauderdale and we check Miami and West Palm too; search Boston and we check JFK and Newark. One query, every workable departure.

Honest data

Old data stays on screen, with its age on it.

A nine-hour-old load beats no load when you're deciding at 6 a.m. We keep every signal visible, stamp it with when we last saw it, and flag anything older than 12 hours as possibly outdated — instead of quietly hiding it.

Community

Ask the crew who flew it last week.

A load number can't tell you the gate agent starts clearing early, or that the 5:40 always fills from a delayed connection. Crew can. Threads are crew-only, you post under a crew name, and your real name and email are never shown.

Coverage

Covers JetBlue and Frontier today.

Around 530 routes out of South Florida and the Northeast, with searches three to seven days ahead depending on the route. We add carriers and cities as the beta grows — and we'd rather show you fewer routes we can stand behind than a map full of guesses.

Built by crew, for crew

We got tired of guessing too.

Crew Compass started with years of tracking loads by hand and swapping tips in group chats. We're building the tool we wished we had, shaped with airline employees who use it every week.
